ROYL Oil 1K
Protective oil since 1982
The oil production craftsmen of RIGO Verffabriek have been making ROYL floor oils for nearly 40 years. These floor oils are made of 100% vegetable oil and are so durable that a single treatment will suffice. The oil deeply penetrates the pores of the wood, offering long-term protection against water and dirt from inside.

FOR THE USER
- 1-component oil
- Long open time, little resistance when scrubbing. As a result, it is easy to distribute and rub dry.
- 1 coat is sufficient.
- Resilient after 24 hours. Does not contain solvents. High yield 25-40 m2 p/l.
- Separate colour pigments in pouch: flexible.
- ROYL OIL 1K is only available in Clear #4550. Used to be Aquamarijn Corcol.

- Can I also make the ROYL Grey Tones in ROYL Oil 1K?

Only the colours with a C designation can be made in ROYL Oil 1K. The ROYL Oil 1K is only available in a clear-base variety, and not in Black and White. Most colours in the Grey Tone chart require a White or Black base. Please refer to the overview ROYL How do you make colours?.
- What is the difference between ROYL Oil 1K and ROYL Oil 2K?

The second component of ROYL Oil 2K ensures faster curing and protection, making a surface finished with ROYL Oil 2K loadable and resistant after one night of drying. ROYL Oil 2K is 95% cured after 24 hours. ROYL Oil 1K has a curing time of 7 to 10 days.
- Can ROYL oils and maintenance oils be applied over another brand's oiled floor?

If the floors are finished with hard wax with a closed film layer, this is not recommended. The oil cannot then be rubbed into the wood. In other cases, it is possible. It is recommended to first intensively clean the floor using a machine and ROYL Intensive Cleaner #9120.
- An oiled floor shows grey spots within a few weeks and there are walkways. What can I do to resolve it?

In this case, too much oil has remained on the wood. This may be because the oil has not been sufficiently rubbed dry with cloths, for example.
The excess oil must be removed. This can be done "dry" by means of polishing, of "wet" by means of intensive mechanical cleaning with ROYL Intensive Cleaner #9120. Then coat the floor very thinly with oil and let it dry at room temperature with sufficient ventilation.
- Can a coloured oiled floor still be changed in terms of colour?

It is only possible to influence the colour of an oiled floor to a limited extent, because the floor can only absorb little oil and therefore colour pigment.
A slightly stronger colour can be achieved by a post-treatment with a coloured ROYL Project Maintenance #4580. The extent to which the colour will change cannot be predicted and can only be shown by a small application test.
Is this is not sufficient, sand the entire floor and treat it again. Colour samples are available to test the colour of the wood on a small surface beforehand. It is important to test oil colours on the actual wood with the actual sanding program, as the substrate and the sanding program also determine the end result.
