Challenge

Stairs are a key factor in the appearance of a space, making them an important component of the interior.

This goes for both the design and the finish. Presser Trappen was looking for a practical way to offer a wide range of finishes and colours with a natural, matte apperance.

Solution and system

They used ROYL colour oil and SKYLT lacquer for this. Both of these products retain the pure look of real wood. ROYL oil protects the wood from the inside, and SKYLT lacquer forms an invisible coating.

The 45 ROYL base colours are available in organised and convenient ROYL colour charts.

Endresult

These exceptional solid-oak stairs were designed using an advanced 3D computer programme. "The uninterrupted, bent bannister is an remarkable, lovely touch. For the finish, the end customer decided on the natural matte appearance of a grey ROYL oil. Combined with the classic design, this stairway has become a wonderful showpiece, making it the perfect fit for this beautifully renovated manor.
