The Challenge

The challenge in this showroom was in the fact that the owner of the old garage tiled floor wanted to create a robust concrete-look floor without having to remove the tiles.

The solution

The tiled floor was finished with STAUF Self-levelling Compound XP20 to achieve the concrete look. To protect the self-levelling compound, 2 coats of SKYLT sealer, which eliminates the hydrophilic properties of mineral surfaces, were applied. Afterwards, the floor can be finished with two coats of SKYLT Original, which will ensure the concrete will retain its fully untreated appearance.

The end result

The end result is a sleek, industrial concrete look in this floor showroom, allowing the floor samples to stand out even more.

Belangrijke tip!

The SKYLT Sealer itself is not invisible! The SKYLT Sealer is shiny and has a streaky appearance. After the SKYLT Sealer is finished with two coats of SKYLT Original, the streaks and the gloss will disappear, resulting in an untreated apperaance for the concrete floor.
